Other Devices---?Multimedia Audio Controller?

I just reflashed my pc again, it's been a while.  Does anyone remember why after reflashing, in device manager, under Other Devices, there is an error with the drivers for the Multimedia Audio Controller.  I remember having this problem before, and I talked to some other users here at the Dell Support Forum, and we figured it out,..but I can't remember what the problem was.  Thanks

By "reflashing," do you mean that you have reinstalled your operating system? If that is the case, is the PCI Multimedia Audio Controller the only item in the Device Manager with the yellow circle next to it?

I would recommend downloading and installing the drivers for your integrated sound device. The driver package applicable to your system can be found here.

Cody, good call!  That was it.  When I reflashed, reinstalled my OS, the new install recognized my Soundblaster, because that is set to main, and didn't find the drivers for the Sound Max.  The drivers you gave me were correct, I saved them to disk for next time.  Thanks a lot!!

A Dell Tech Support agent just helped me get the CD-ROM drive on my new Dimension 4600 working again. Now I'm getting the yellow exclamation point next to Multimedia Audio Controller that others have described here. I downloaded the most up-to-date drivers for my sound card and reloaded them, but that didn't help (and sound seems to be working okay).

I've posted this here because the steps to get the CD-ROM working included entering some keyboard sequences that involved the Alt or Ctrl keys while in setup which I believe may have been what the other person meant by "reflashing". The other significant thing the Dell Tech Support agent had me do was delete two entries from regedit.

Given that I've already reloaded the audio drivers, do you have other suggestions?
