Overclocking processor and RAM upgrades!
Hello, first of all thanks for amazing desktop vostro 230 its been 3 years i have bought it. Not a single problem with it. Its good for last year but now a days i am not satisfied with its speed and reliability. Due to lack of funding i cant just build or buy a new desktop so i was wondering if i can overclock the processor to make my pc faster.
So here goes my questions:
1. Can i overclock the precessor of VOSTRO 230 pc (Intel core 2 duo E7500 2.93Ghz )?? If yes how???
2. I want to upgrade my RAM. I know that maximum support for vostro 230 is 4gb. But i cant understand that it supports 4gb in single slot or 2gb in dual slot?? What is the maximum frequency that motherboard supports??
Please help me with this issue. i will be looking forward to your reply.. reply ASAP..

Sorry to say, the Vostro 230 cannot be overclocked.
The Maximum RAM supported, is 4GB [2 x 2gb modules].

So 4gb x 1module is not supported??
If i force install 4gb x 1 will my pc not boot?

You are right, a 1 x 4gb module is not supported.

What is the maximum frequency that vostro 230 supports for ram?
Is it supports 1600 mhz.
