PCI Device Error/No Sound

I recent had some malware on my computer that I got removed. However upon removing it I noticed that I no longer have any sound. Upon startup I noticed that it says new hardware found, PCI Device. It tries to install it but also says it can't find the drivers. I also saw on the Device Manager page that there is a "!" mark at the PCI Device. The error code I found is: I ran something and came up with this error code:
System Information report written at: 06/23/10 18:06:13
System Name: OFFICE1
[Problem Devices]

Device PNP Device ID Error Code
PCI Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E&SUBSYS_020D1028&REV_02\3&2411E6FE&0&D8 39

Here is my info via the system page in control panel:

I am running XP Home with service pack 3.
Dell Inspiron 530
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
E4500 @ 2.20GHz
1.18 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM

Does anyone know what this problem might be and how to fix it. I did some basic research and some people have said it is dealing with the audio driver.

Code 39 means the driver is not installed.

This can also mean the OS (in this case XP) is corrupt too.  I've seen malware get removed and after it's removed the Operating System is corrupted.

The first thing to do is reinstall the Dell sound driver and see if that fixes it.  HERE is the Dell driver.

If that doesn't fix it, the next step would be to "repair" Windows XP.  To run repair, you boot from the Windows XP disc but select Repair, NOT install.   You may have to reinstall the driver again after the Repair.
