What is the power supply you intend to install in the XPS 410, can you post a link to it?

The motherboard requires a P1 24-pin [#5] and a P2 4-pin [#20] power connectors, both of these have a latch to secure them to the motherboard.  A PCIe power cable/connector cannot be used.

More Info, HERE

Yes, all the drives require SATA power connectors.

There is a small special 4-pin power connector for a floppy drive attached to the wiring harness.

The 4 Pin PCI Express connector (actually is more like a 6 pin connector) is not what you want.  The 4 pin power connector is a "Molex" type connector.  On some power supplies they have separate 4 pin connectors and on other power supplies it's an 8 pin connector but you can split it into two 4 pin connectors and use either 4 pin connector.

Look at the 4 pin "ATX +12 Volt" connector in THIS power cable description.   The right (two pictures over) of the 4 pin is a picture of the 4 pin plus 4 pin connector (split apart).

I checked the Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power supply, it is compatible with the XPS 410.

The 24-pin [20+4-pin] and the 4-pin ATX 12v connectors are connected to the motherboard, the 8 Pin EPS 12V connector is for a different motherboard and is not required for the XPS 410.

There are 2 x PCI Express connectors that can be used for video cards, if required by the model of the card installed.

The mounting holes for the screws on the back prevent putting the supply in upside down.

You use four screws to mount power supply to the back panel.

The screws needed to mount the power supply usually are package with a new PSU.

There are four pre-drilled holes. already in the back panel.

Did you read the details for the XPS 410 power supply installation, that I've already posted?

Then you will notice the following instructions, as noted HERE

Slide the power supply into place.

Replace the four screws that secure the power supply to the back of the computer frame.

Good to know the Power Supply Unit is compatible.  As the PSU was missing from the XPS 410, looking at the Antec 650W, how should it be positioned (what part of the unit actually faces the the cpu or which way should the air be blowing)?  Also don't believe the graphics card requires a PCI Express connector. The graphics card is a GeForce 8800 GTX 512GB.

Thanks! :emotion-1:  Looking at the diagram, I'm still a bit confused and not sure of the appropriate seating.  I'll experiment and hope for the best.

If the object is to pull air out of the system the grill of the unit should be facing down - I HOPE!  I sure don't want top mess this up! :emotion-10:  Thanks again!

Can't see how that is possible without the screws since it doesn't snap into place.
