Do you have a microphone and is it turned on? I understand that the mic will pick up and try to recognize and type sounds -- even your tapping on the keys of the keyboard -- it tries to translate those sounds into words.

Go to the volume control, if it's in the task bar double click and mute the microphone.

If you don't have the vol control in the task bar, open up the control panel, sounds and audio devices, volume and then advanced. Mute the mic.

Open MS Word and go to tools>speech and disable speech recognition.

What are the words being typed in this conversation? Are they random or are they complete sentences? It could be your microphone if you have one set up trying to recognize words or someone could be hacking your computer. If you think you're being hacked go to www.zonelabs.com and download and install their free firewall (ZoneAlarm). Even the free version, which I'm using, should keep hackers out.

I had this same problem... Once I installed some XP fixes that were at their update center, it ended.. There was an alert about random typing.. You might want to look for windows updates (run the scan) and then see if their XP bug fixes corrects the problem. Good Luck.
