Pin Assignment Teac CA-200 Flash Card Reader
Hi, does anyone know the pin assignment for a Teac CA-200 card reader? I've been given one to put in my XPS 700 but without the cable and I can't find either information about the reader or a cable. Dell are no use either... It's not a standard configuration (2 x 4 way internal USB 2.0).
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

The pin assignment and connector for the motherboard in a Dell XP410 is standard USB and includes the following assignment:
[1] (Red) Power +5volts
[2] (White) Data Negative
[3] (Green) Data Positive
[4] (Black) Ground
[5] Unused
However, the Teac CA-200 Flash Card reader has a non standard 10 pin configuration (Flexbay connector 2.00 mm apart vs. 2.54mm apart). The pin assignments are as follows (back view connection of the Flash card reader) :
____
┌─────┘ └─────┐
│ .R . .B .W . │
│ . . . . .G │
└──────────────┘
1st Row: Red, empty, Black, White, empty
2nd Row: empty, empty, empty, empty, Green
I tested this Flash Card reader in my XP410 and it works, but had to solder the pin connections in my card reader given the non standard connection. The XP410 motherboard uses the standard USB assignment and connector (pin layout above).
Hope this helps…

Many thanks to JUANJG115.
Soldered my own connection cable with this description, and it worked fine.
I had both the end-connection-plugs, but not the wiring.
Thanks!
