Power-On Password

Question

Now I've done it!

I enabled a Power-on password (I think this is referred to as the "User Password") because I wanted to lock my computer while I was away. Now that I'm back I'd like yo turn it off. I don't want to be prompted for a pssword every time I boot my computer. How do I turn it off?

I have a Dimension XPS B1000. And I do remember both my Supervisor and User Passwords...

Same way you enabled it. go in to BIOS setup at bootup, go to security settings and delete passwords. Re-boot, passwords should be gone.
