Precision 360 XP SP3 update problems: "virtual memory minimum too low"
I regret attempting to update to SP3. I was up to date and running fine prior to SP3. Error message "Virtual memory minimum too low". Update hangs at "Finishing installation", "Running processes after install". The machine has 2 GB of RAM and the paging file is set at 3072/4096. Can anyone help?
I have been able to restore the PC to its previous state. (A second attempt to update had the same result.)
Any help would be appreciated.

Bluzrip,
I haven't heard of that particular problem with XPSP3. We installed it on quite a few similar computers without a problem. You said you had 2GB RAM, but is your Virtual RAM set at 3092? See:
http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/getstarted/pcproblems.mspx
And here is a site set up specifically for XPSP3 problems:

As noted in my original post, the paging file was set with pretty typical settings for 2 GB of RAM: minimum 3072, maximum 4096.
Regardless, I was able to successfully update to SP3 by booting to SAFE mode and installing the update.
