I have a Precision 650 workstation, and I would like to know what upgrade options I have for the CPU? I would like to get an idea of how much better can the system get.

yes it looks like a Micro-FCPGA with an SL72Y Spec. If so, it is correct. It cannot hurt to call and ask before ordering though.

My cousin's 650 has 2 x 24.GHz Xeon, but can't install XP 64-bit ...

Are those CPU 3.2GHz from your system 64-bit CPU and you are running Vista Ultimate 64-bit?

Please advice, cause I like to upgrade CPU for this system to the highest one I can get.

Hi

I jsut found out that these CPUs are not EM64T, so they are not 64-bit CPU.

Can you please tell me that your 650 installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit?

The 650 is a 32-bit system. So, you cannot install Vista 64-bit.
