Are you using 32- or 64-bit Windows (and what version of Windows)?  32-bit Windows can't use more than 4 GB of RAM.

Exactly what beep code?  And what's the diagnostic LED code?

Do any pair of 2-GB modules work when you only have 2 of them installed? In other words, is one (or two) of them defective?

Have you tried clearing BIOS with all 4 2-GB modules installed by removing the motherboard battery and pressing/holding the power button for ~30 sec before reinstalling the battery?

Are you sure the 2-GB RAM is fully compatible with this system?
