Precision Tower 3620, video card upgrade, power supply

I have a Dell Precision Tower 3620 motherboard and I would like to put a graphics card in it. As I currently understand it, I would need to upgrade the power supply to power a new card. I am currently looking a the Corsair CX500 with a Dell OptiPlex 9020 PSU Main Power 24-Pin to 8-Pin Adapter to allow it to interface with the motherboard. Has anyone used this adapter cable with this motherboard?

You may not need to upgrade the PSU (power supply unit).

The 3620 290w PSU can use the following Dell OEM video cards =

Nvidia
379T0 Quadro K620
PKPJT Quadro K420
WHT93 Quadro K1200
GMNNC Quadro K2200
W2TP6 Quadro M2000
MD7CH NVS 315
40GW9 NVS 310
9NPC8 NVS 510

AMD
Y5FR3 FirePro W2100
25D14 FirePro W4100
W2C47 FirePro W5100

The 3620 365w PSU can use the following Dell OEM video cards =

X38PC AMD FirePro W7100
1T98G Nvidia Quadro M4000

thanks for the info, I will buy one of those or just use the adapter cable. both seem to be possible solutions.
