Proactive Support

If I want to upgrade my system beyond Windows 98SE will there be a problem with the Proactive Support? (I understand that the Proactive Support
excludes Windows 2000 and NT.) Can Proactive Support can be disabled if I don't want to use it?

If you're referring to the Aveo Attune software that has recently begun shipping on some systems, it can not be used in NT or 2000 (it might install, but it will not function properly). I would recommend uninstalling it from the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel before upgrading the operating system (or waiting until the next edition of the Windows 9x platform, Windows ME, is released later this year).
