Problem with GX280 and PS/2 Keyboard

I have a Dell GX280 with PS/2 and USB ports. I'm currently using the USB keyboard and mouse provided by Dell, but wished to switch to an ergonomic PS/2 keyboard, the Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard. I installed the Intellitype software packaged with the keyboard, shut down my machine, and connected the new PS/2 Keyboard.

Upon booting the machine up, I was greeted with the standard bios loading screen and then the message

"Error 8602 - Auxiliary Device Failure"

Thinking that the keyboard itself was faulty, I tested it with another machine, a laptop that my co-worker had. To my chagrin, the keyboard worked perfectly. I can't find records of this problem in Dell's database, and most of the common solutions that Google turns up(Keyboard in the mouse port, etc) are not applicable to this situation. Is there a reason that my machine would refuse to boot with a PS/2 keyboard attached, but otherwise work perfectly, and if so what can I do to fix it?

Sorry should have looked before I sent my other message. Try a Trust 520DS USB mini docking station. Worked for me.

You didn't mention this in your message but if the USB keyboard is connection, remove it and try to boot with only the PS2 keyboard.
