Question about deleting past/old updates
I hope I'm asking this in the right place; When drivers or programs are updated, do they build upon one another or can I delete past/previous updates once the new has been installed?
I'm about at my wits end trying to get this thing, Dell Studio XPS/Windows 7 home premium, to run any faster and am hoping my backlog of updates are what's keeping it down.
I'd appreciate help from anyone in the know. Thanks.

Hi BCDJr,
It depends on the update. Most overwrite the old driver or application.
Generally, if your system is getting bogged down, a reinstall of either the Dell factory image or clean installation of the operating system will completely restore its original performance. Many people perform this annually just to clean out all of the computer detritus.
