RAM problems with 8200?
I've had my 2Ghz 8200 for about a month now, and suddenly - maybe starting a week ago - I started getting strange behaviour while gaming...system slowdowns, choppy sound (that makes animation go all choppy as well), then crashout to desktop.
This morning, I started getting "System memory is very low, Norton Antivirus may not be able to run properly" messages, then BSD. Very surprising, since I have 512K of RAM...how could I be running low, since I'm only doing ONE THING at a time?
I rebooted, ran Norton SystemWorks diagnostic on the memory, and was informed of hardware failure at certain addresses.
I've got paired 256K chips - anyone else having hardware problems with their memory? Or am I the only lucky winner?
Thanks

You mention a problem running Norton antivirus, but I presume that it checked out ok? The worm viruses may cause some of the symptoms you have described.
Did you run Scandisk and degrag the drive? Have you tried running System Restore to a point before the problems started? If nothing is resolved, give Dell tech support a call.
