RDRAM latency 40ns / 45ns

I have a dell 8200 and want to upgrade my memory from 768MB to 2GB due a video editing project. My question is about the latency on the two types of RDRAM memory I can put into my machine, either 40nanoseconds or 45nanoseconds.
Whether I buy the 40ns or 45ns type, will I see a noticable difference in performance of the machine from using the 45ns compared to the 40ns modules?
Thanks.

No.  But if you're machine currently uses 40ns memory, I suggest you don't buy 45ns memory...

And the cost of going to 2gb of memory (four 512mb sticks at $240 per is $960) is more than a new machine...

If you must buy RDRAM, do not buy it new. Pick it up on eBay at about 1/3 the price of new RDRAM. It goes for about $150 per GB (2x512). Some people have had problems with 45ns, so I'd look for 40ns.
