RST splash screen?
I just got an Optiplex 980 refurb. After using it for a few days, I now get the black screen with large white letters about Intel Rapid Storage Technology and so forth after the initial DELL round logo and before Windows starts. Originally, this only showed up if I hit F12 to enter BIOS. I'm sure I must have changed something to cause this behavior, but I can't figure out what.

If Windows starts normally after that screen, I wouldn't worry about it.

Solved. I have a ssd drive and have been trying to optimize it. I changed from RAID to AHCI in the BIOS and now I don't get the splash screen.
