Recent Powerleap upgrade....

I recently went from a socket 423 P4 @ 1.3GHz to a powerleaped 2.6GHz and in the Dell Bios it says its clocked at 1.6 GHz. In windows it says its running at 2.59Ghz which is fine. I was wondering which is correct and if the BIOS is limiting my speed or if it just can't recognize that its going that fast. Thanks for helping a relative newbie....

I recall that PowerLeap recommends the BIOS be upgraded at the time of the installation. did you attempt that?

Don't worry about the bios. When the bios was written for your P.C. the 2.6 was not in existence. Your p.c. is running at 2.6g.

Yeah I upgraded the BIOS to the newest one but it is still almost 2 years old. Dell just doesn't make a new BIOS for it yet. But most of the people in here seem to think it is running at 2.6, so we will go with that.
