Remove an unwanted boot loader from Bios
Acronis True image software was removed via add/remove programs as program would not run due to secure boot validation conflict. . The Bios boot sequence still shows "UEFI Acronis Loader" as #1 position and causes a red warning box to appear on boot up saying "Secure boot violation". Clicking enter allows the computer to boot to the desktop. What steps can I take to remove this unwanted boot loader from the Bios? I do not see a provision to delete it in the Aptio Bios setup utility. Dell Inspiron 3847 running Windows 8.1.

Dell tech support solved the problem. Push F2 at start up to enter the Aptio Bios setup program. Move to the Boot menu. Notice the unwanted boot loader in the list of boot up choices. Press F9 which will reset the Bios back to the original factory setting. Answer yes to accept the change. The unwanted boot loader will be removed. Exit and save the corrected Bios settings. The computer now boots directly into the Windows 8.1 program.
