Retrieving data from old PC
Hi,
I have just purchased a XPS8300 i7 core. My old PC is dead but I would like to get the data of my old IDE drives. If I remove the 2 hard drives is there an easy way to externally connect them to my new pc to get this information?

Hi Robert,
Yes, just go out and pick up a USB external drive enclosure for an IDE drive. If your old PC is a desktop, you'll need one for a 3.5" drive.

As long as you have the right tools and connection wires, it is always possible. Just like having your HDD or DVD ROM connected externally.
