Shut down option when using power strip

For Dell 8200, Windows XP.

Right after the computer starts and as soon as F2 appears at the top right of the screen press F2.
This takes you to Entering Setup.

Scroll down the list to “AC Power Recovery” with the arrow key.
Select HELP.

It reads:
This field specifies how the system will react after AC power has been restored to the system.
It is especially useful for people who turn their system off with a power strip when set to "OFF"; the system will remain off after AC is restored. When set to "ON" the system will turn on after AC is restored. When set to "LAST" the system will turn on if the system was on when AC was lost. The system will turn off if the system was off when AC was lost.

I set mine to "ON".
Now I can turn off my AC power switch on my desk panel after the computer shuts down, then the next morning all I have to do is turn on the power at my desk.

BTW
I sent email to Dell tech asking how to set up my PC for a power strip.... I received four emails; the poor guy was completely LOST! His first answers had nothing to do with my question. His later answers were no help.
I then posted on this forum and someone said go to BIOS? But then I decided that was technical talk for System Setup.
In this post I tried to supply more details for weevils like myself.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
