Sigmatel 9227, no Windows 7 driver?
Hello.
I have Dell desktop Dimension E520. Is there driver for Sigmatel 9227 audio for Windows 7? All I can find is driver for Windows XP, Vista 32/64bit. Only the Vista 64bit driver can be installed on my desktop computer, and it doesn't work! The sound icon in taskbar is crossed over with white cross and red circle behind, like it shows it doesn't work. Speakers are OK, i tested them on my laptop. Can you please help me ASAP?

Thanks for hel. Somehow I succeeded to set up sound and its working now. i installed chipset driver for XP (!?) and I tryed many drivers and different jacks on sound card and now it is working.

Hi Branko,
When you select the option to search for the driver, choose "Windows Update". If there is a driver in the database, that will find it. Otherwise, you'll need to use trial and error with generic drivers.

Yes, and it is in the Windows Catalog.
