Speaker makes noise when light turned off!!!!

This seems weird when you look at subject!!! You can call me stupid!!

I am having this problem for about one week.  Before that I didnt have any problem like this with anything.

Problem:  Whenever I am listening to music or with speaker on on my computer and if I turn off the light (regular tube or bulb that gives light) my speaker makes noise like short circuit in it. You know what am i sayin'??

Lets say, I am listening to music and in other room of my apartment somebody turns off the light (which was on before), my speaker will make noise.  The noise is like you fill the air in balloon or bag and then it explodes.  Its something like that.  Its like if you connect speaker when its on.

Anyway, it makes this kind of noise, it never happened before, but started about a week ago.  Anyhelp would be appreciated.

I have Altec Lansing speakers with subwoofer and also Harman Kardon's two satellites (w\o subwoofer).  All connected with splitter.  It never caused any problem before about one week.

Please help!!

well, everything gives off sometime of radiation or some sort that like....and it must accept any interference like that.... it has to do something with the radiation and radio waves.....that why a lot of times you'll see electrical devices that will say "this device must accept all interferences." that’s what it means and that’s what it does...  maybe repositioning your speakers may help reduce this.... maybe even if you have a microwave or something that gives off some type of energy just move them an inch or so, that can help as well...

Hi,

That is called electrical noise. It happens all the time.
If you could see your electric current to you would see the 'noise' when you turn a light on or off. You will see ( hear ) it most when the light is a fluorescent fixture, and/or it is on the same breaker as your speakers. If you put the speakers onto a computer type power strip it will help.

Well,

this never happened before.   I have nothing changed recently in one or two weeks.  this happens only when you turn off the light (even in other rooms).  It doesnt make any noise when turning off microwave.

Thanks for quick reply
