Suitable replacement Ram for Alienware Aurora r4 with a X58 mother board
One of my 2 Gb Corsair Ram sticks has stopped working so looking to replace all the others . At the moment I have 6 x 2 Gb Sticks = 12 Gb .
Can I use 2 Corsair Vengeance 8Gb sticks , As I am not sure if the X58 mother board will support just 2 sticks or do I have to replace and fit 6 x 2 Gbs sticks the same as was fitted .
At the moment I have 6 x Corsair Ram Sticks there specs are 2048 Mb 1866 MHz 7-8-7-20 1.65v ver2.1 DDR 3
Replacement sticks I was thinking of fitting are Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 Gb DDR 3 1866 MHz Red 2x8Gb 1.60v Ver8.22 .
Any Thoughts any one Many Thanks

No.
Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (Intel® XMP) is for much newer chipsets.
