I am trying to download lastest drivers for my systems (one labtop I bought 4 weeks ago and desktop 3 years ago). First, I signed up and I got this message...

Second, I cannot download any of the drivers. It seems someone has the same problem but...
Please help me with this because I am wondering if I made the right decision, buying the laptop.

Hi Mary,
Thanks for quick response and I do appreciate it very much.
The problem is, my desktop says that I am missing a "oledlg.dll" and I could not open some of the softwares I have and that was the reason for the downloading. I noticed that someone is having a same problem with me. When I am trying to download (following the steps on your website), all I got was the display with the gray layover and it does not let me download anything. I thought it was due to not entering the service tag, so I did that. Then signed up for the this form and it still couldn't download any of the drivers.
Please let me know what step I have to follow to download oledlg.dll file?
Just for your info, my update from the Microsoft is done everyday.
Again, thanks for the quick response and your help.
Tommy

You do not need to update any drivers for a brand new laptop. You do need to get all the Windows Updates at the Microsoft site.
For the old computer, you do not need to sign up for emails. Just go to Dell Downloads, choose your model and operating system and download only the drivers for your actual hardware. Not all the drivers listed for your model will be for your setup.
