System Monitor

I have recently purchased a Dimension XPS B1000r. Is there software to monitor the CPU/System Temperature?

Not that I know of. You may want to click the 'Learn' button on the blue menu bar at the top right and then on 'Ask Dudley'. Ask about 'temperature monitor' but I have no idea if you'll get a return or not.

Common wisdom seems to be that yes, there is software (such as Motherboard Monitor), but no, it can't be used to monitor your system because when Dell custom-ordered the motherboard from Intel, they told Intel to not include the temperature monitoring hardware normally included on the motherboard. (In my case, the VC820 motherboard in the Dimension XPS B733r.) Penny-wise and pound-foolish, if you ask me.
