System's Registry data recovery error message

My XPS 410 has been showing this error message at start up

" One of the files containing the system's registry  data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy The recovery was succesful."

I do not know what caused this or how to fix it. Anyone out there have any suggestions? Thank you for your help.
