T7500 power failure
I have a T7500 that was working fine until I attempted to install a floppy drive. Now the amber power light blinks 4 times and the error indicators 1 & 3 blink green 4 times and then the unit shuts down completely.
I have replaced the power supply. No help. I have removed all add-in cards, disconnected all drives, removed CPU2 Riser, disconnected all fans, disconnected audio, disconnected intrusion switch, FP audio, removed all memory, System Speaker, CPU2 fan and the CPU1 power connector, 1394 Front Panel. Evertthing is disconnected from the motherboard except the main power connector from the power supply because you cannot power up the power supply without that.
No joy, same error indication.
It seems there is nothing left but to replace the system board or the power cable harness, but I sure could use some suggestions or hear how someone else would troubleshoot this.

Non 750W EPS 12v power supplies are not likely to work.

No, I used an exact replacement part with the same part number, so compatibility is not an issue.
Thanks for helping,

A Genuine DELL power supply or Fast Eddies power emporium power supply ?. What Exact Part number.
Blinking AMBER indicates Bad Power supply.
Some models require the R622G , G821T 1100W power supply.

Well to be precise,
the new power supply was Dell Model H1100-E1, UP/N S1K1E001L, and the original Chinese mfg part number CN-0G821T-47890-0097-00V9-A00
The old one was Dell Model H1100EF-00 UP/N, UP/N S1K1E001L, and the original chinese mfg part number CN-0G821T-47890-08M-01Z4-A00
There are some small differences as you can see, but I don't think they are significant.
Thanks for replying

Sounds like you got a counterfeit and did not buy directly from Dell.
If you did then I would return it as doa.
