TEAC CA200 Card Reader Drivers
A CA200 Enhanced 19-1 Card Reader driver (R166862.exe) was released 9/11/2008 for Windows XP. My system (the XPS700 with mobo exchange to XPS720) originally had the 13-1 card reader installed. That has been updated with Firmware R176603.exe (released 1/16/2008) providing additional memory card formats (13 --> 19). I currently have the R176587.exe driver (released 1/16/2008) installed. Since my 13-1 card reader was in essence made into a 19-1 reader, should I install this new R166862,exe driver? Is it compatible with my system and CA200 Card Reader (no Bluetooth)?

If you already updated from 13-->19 and everything is working correctly I would not update. Only if you are having a problem and the update will fix it then I would update the drivers.
As always: If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Thanks Garred. With all the problems in the Card Reader threads, it appears this is the latest fix from TEAC. What I am not sure of is if it is suitable for the CA200 13-1 firmware updated to 19-1. Would be good to hear from ChrisM about it.
