TV tuner cards are desinged to have a cable be plugged into them (they have one of those thimble looking things on the back of them) but you can buy a cheap adapter for like a dollar at radio shack if you want to connect rabbit ears.
rabbit ears come with coxail cables so the screw in connector isn't going to be a problem. I want it for tv when i'm on the computer. Would be nice to be able to watch raymond instead of leaving the room. I don't have a digital video camera but an anolog early sony one 8mm but it does see in the dark. Have no dvd burner just installing my first cdrw. Have any of you used this card. Voodooman you always come threw, you work for them?
pcchips pci tv/fm tuner capture card, remote-retail
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?DEPA=0&description=15-117-201&ATT=Video+Device+Add+On&CMP=OTC-17exta6 what do you think of this card? Looks best buy but does cost little more. Not sure why remote only works on PCIv2.2 cause my computer is PCIv2.1 i'm sure. My pc is 4 to 5 years old. How hard is it to use one of these? Seams like a lot fo hooksups and since my audio card is from dell i don't know if i have all the audio hooksups. I'm adding a cdrw and that also has audio wires.
That one should be fine, too. The customer feedback is good, so I doubt you'd be disappointed. These cards don't differ very much in the sub-$50 price range.
I have one of the Leadtek WinFast TV cards in my rig. Works fine. They're not hard to hook up--just follow the directions.
I ordered the PC CHIPs tv tuner i posted earler. A lot of the cards were not specific on who made the tuner but since this card was Phillips i felt confidet with that name. Someone also said it worked under Linux which is a good thing i guess if it ever comes of age. They all say the windvr software is buggy no matter which brand of card you use. I'm sure i'll be back with some questions when installation time comes and see what the software is like.
You guys are on a roll, have a similar situation, sorry, its not a Dell, but a Cereron 1.4 , 384 ram, and just about everything integrated on the MB? NO video out, I would like to swap the CDRW with a DVD R/W drive, but need that video. Would I (simply???) add a video card in a PCI slot? My gut says its gotta be half height....
ANY suggestions (no, not a new machine...) appreciated. And no I dont wanna saw the card either!!!

Nah, but I wish I did! The amount of money I've spent at NewEgg over the years, it sure would be nice to get an employee discount!
