Temp files- jsproxy.$s$ - -Gdsykes & Denny Denham

Gdsykes,
I read your post to Denny. I went to tools>Internet options>general tab. There I depressed the "Delete cookies" & the "Delete files" buttons. OK.

Then, I went to "my computer" C>windows>temp internet files. I opened this file, selected all from "edit" and then deleted them with delete from "file"

Then, I went to C>windows>temp. There, when I selected all and tried to delete, a pop-up said that I could not delete jsproxy.$s$

What's this? Do I need to be concerned?

Is it good to delete the temp files and cookies?

My system would not allow me to delete the jsproxy.$s$ file. Why not?

Yes it is safe to delete Temp Files, and cookies. Cookies just save certain things about you and your computer. For instance have you ever went to a site and it knows your name (or sign-in name), like on MSN's page if you sign in with your passport the page then says to me...Hi Greg! ---Or---When I go my ISP's website it automatically tells me the weather, because it knows my zip code. The first time I went to the site it ask me for my zip then it creates a cookie in the cookies folder. If you want to see what cookies you have in your computer go to: Start, Search, For Files or Folders, Type in COOKIES, and Click Search, open the cookies folder and there all are of your cookies. You can delete them if you wish. Temp Files are where your computer remembers graphics or other little bits of information. For instance again, when I go to a site that has pictures my computer will remember the pictures (Or bits of them) It then loads them much faster on your computer. Any more questions just post back! -Greg (Gdsykes)

Did it bring up something that said: The current file is in use? -Greg

Thanks!
That's it. Problem solved. I just closed the programs before trying to delete the files.
