Transferred all my cool stuffs From my XPS 435mt to Precision T3500 And now freezing randomly -- is it the RAM?

Same x58 and LGA1366 -- I just needed some more room - have googled and googled and this is as close as I can get

XPS 435mt I was successfully running my 24gb of ram and when I put it into the T3500 is recognized it perfectly - but if freezes yup frequently / randomly.

Kingston KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX which is 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V

And on the Crucial site it only says that this ram works --> 9-9-9-24 1.5V

Is this why my system is freezing up ?  There are post that talk about adjusting the ram timing would solve this -- but the Dell Bios a16 does not allow for that - correct?

Any help here is much appreciated -- I am on a tight budget and got the T3500 because I thought it was going to be an easy swap out of parts.

Thanks so much for any and all help!

Over voltage aka 1.65v means the ram wont work at spec when you run on a non overclocked motherboard 1.5v or 1.35v.  However could be something more simple than that.  You must use the ram in sets of 3.

Mixing different timings and ranks and vendors in the 3 and 3 slots is not recommended.
