Turtle Beach Montego II Sound Card/ CD-RW

I had to re-install my operating system (Win 98). I have two CD drives... a CDROM and a second CD-RW drive. Everything seems to be working except that I can't get any audio output from my second CD drive. If I plug my speakers into the jack on the CD drive itself, I get sound. Is there something that I have to configure in the sound card to tell it about the second CD drive?

Hi Dawn,
If you ordered your system with both drives preinstalled, Dell will attach only one audio cable from your CD-ROM to your sound card. And yes you should have sound from the head phone jack on the front of the CD/RW. If you were to ask, "can I purchase an additional audio cable and attach it to the Aux.In connector on the Turtle Beach and remember never to play audio CD`s in both drives at the same time, will it work?" I have to tell you it is not recommended..but
yes it`ll work
