Upgrading my CPU
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 537(not the slim) and it currently has the 0U880P motherboard and I am wondering if I can upgrade the Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 450 @2.20ghz 2.19ghz to an Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor 2.93 GHz 3 MB Cache Socket LGA775. I have updated my BIOS to A03. I have done tons of research and I noticed this CPU was supported but I just wanted to make sure on my own that the CPU will work with my motherboard.
Thanks.

With INTEL G41 chipset Socket 775 motherboard
Memory Type: DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 4GB
Slots: 2
I would suspect that it will work up to an Intel® Core™2 Quad processor.
However it may require a 375W or greater power supply when you do that because of going from 35W cpu to 105W cpu.
Always recommended that you update the Bios to current version BEFORE trying to change CPU.
