Videos too dark (help needed)
Hello. I am not very computer savvy, so I can only guess. Why are night scenes so dark on my computer? It's been like this for sometime, but I put off trying to address it until now. Since our cable's been off, I've been having to watch shows like GOT & Salem online, but scenes at night are so hard to see. I watch them in Flash (flv). It's like this in Divx too, but I can't watch it in that format anyway, because the video starts, then freezes, with the audio still playing.
My computer is a Dell DE051 (running Windows XP) with a Dell E773c Color Monitor. I will copy/paste some specs if it will help

From the startup (when you tap F8 keyboard)

Now, if the issue is my monitor, will an HD one work/help? If it's the video/graphics card, then is it cheaper to buy that or a refurbished computer?
Apologies if my posts were long, i wish I knew more about this stuff.
