Hi maytagman55,

Welcome to Dell community.

In response to your post on Dell community, wanted to know if you play any high graphics video game & this problem seems to be with the screen resolution you can try changing the screen resolution & check, also try to use the computer in safe mode & check the results. You can visit the below provided link for instructions on how to change the screen resolution.

You can get  Windows to revert back to the original settings automatically.

If the video has become corrupted or an Out of Scan Range error occurs that cannot be automatically corrected, restart the computer.

Press during startup, highlight Safe Mode from the Startup Menu,

and press to start the computer in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode,

change the screen resolution back to the original settings and restart normally.

If you are using a DVI cable and get "input timing not supported by the monitor; change to 1920x1080@60 hz" I had to uninstall the video card through device manager. When it restarted, drivers loaded through auto-detect and has been fine.
