Vista Audigy Error: CTMBHA.DLL
I recently upgraded from XP Media Center to Vista Home Premium. Upon booting up the following error message appeared in a dialog box entitled "RunDLL": "Error loading CTMBHA.DLL A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."
After reading several posts regarding this error, I went through the following procedure, after the Vista upgrade was made:
Uninstalled SB Advanced MB Drivers
Uninstalled Audigy Advanced MB
Uninstalled Audigy Advanced MB Product Registration
Uninstalled Sigmatel Driver (from device manager)
Then I reinstalled the following Vista software that I downloaded:
Sigmatel Driver
rebooted
SB Audigy
The first bootup went well with no errors, but thenceforth I have continued to receive the error.
Along with this error, I cannot access any of the controls in the Creative Mediasource program, as I get an error stating that "The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit." when I attempt to use the graphic equalizer, etc. However, the volume panel icon in the system tray does allow me to access the Creative Audio Center where I can adjust the graphic equalizer. I don't know if this is related to the error or not.
I do not have Norton GoBack and there are no files named B3420000.dat (or a Documents and Settings folder for that matter) as the solution that I found from many posts points to these culprits, but they are for systems running on XP.
Any suggestions out there to rid this error from my system? Otherwise Vista hasn't been a hassle once I spent a week downloading drivers and updated software for other components on my system.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
I see that you reinstalled the drivers for the Sigmatel and the SB Audigy. I am not sure why you have 2 sound cards. Edit your user profile here in the forum to include the system service tag number. I can then see which sound card you have in the system. If your system came with the onboard sound card and you added another sound card you may want to disable the onboard card. Once you have done this you can reinstall the drivers for the card you want to use. If both sound cards are installed there is possibly an irq conflict.
