Vostro 430 upgrade
I have a Dell Vostro 430 mini-tower PC, recently my son has started playing games on this but is having problems, particularly with Skyrim. He now wants to upgrade the video card.
He has been recommended a Saphire Radeon HD7770 GDDR5.
The spec for this card says it needs a 450W PSU, the one in the PC is 350W so I presume I need to upgrade this too. Will any 450-500W PSU do, they seem to vary a lot in price?
and will this all be OK inside the Vostro mini-tower?
Thanks for your help,
Jim.

Hi Jim,
The video card that you have mentioned Saphire Radeon HD7770 GDDR5 is compatible to your computer and should work with an upgraded power supply. You may also want to refer to the list of other recommended video cards that work with the system: http://dell.to/QJOxSC

Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.

If you don't want to upgrade the Power Supply Get a Radeon HD 7750 instead.

Ah yes, that would be better, thanks.
Checking the spec of the 7750 it says it needs 400W though?
