How did you reinstall? Did you do a "clean" reinstall - format the hard drive and reinstall everything? or just reinstall the Operating System over top of the existing OS install?
Reinstalling over top of an existing install can cause many problems such as installed programs no longer linked to the operating system and they will need reinstallation to whatever problem was there before the reinstall is still there.
But, it sounds like some type of multimedia driver is missing.
