Will the ATI Radeon HD 5870 fit in a XPS 435t case?

The questions are: will the ATI Radeon HD5870, or 5970, video card fit in the XPS 435t case? And, as I can't seem to find specs on the power supply and don't really want to get into the case yet, is the current power supply able to handle this card. Thanks for any straight-forward help. One more thing: Can I put an inVidia card in the case yet? I understand there were some bios problems last year.

Yes they will on both counts.

Your running a 475W Power Supply. Probably good for 525 to 550W.

Wil handle the 5870 without problems as these cards running cooler and taking less power than some

of the earlier cards.

The 5970 cards might be pushing the PS depending on box load out, drives ect. ect and other hardware.

Overclocking comes into play also if into that.

Can also upgrade Power Supply if issues.

As to Nvidia and the bios, do not know but is a card offering.

The power supply needs to have two PCIe power cables ... check that first before you decide on buying anything.

As Stated,

The 435T/9000 has two six pin plus a two pin power cable to be able to convert one lead to eight pin.

As configured in some cards.
