WinZip Self-Extractor header corrupt - What does that mean?

I have XP-home. I logged into Citrix and got in just fine, but when I clicked on an application, it would not open it. The box said it needed to find the program that created it. So I went to the web and found the program which was Microsoft Visual InterDev, tried downloading it, and got an error message saying: "WinZip Self Extractor header corrupt. Possible cause: bad disc or file transfer error."
What does that mean? How do I fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

BettyeR,

The error message that you got when you tried to open the Visual InterDev program indicates that the file you downloaded may have been damaged or corrupted during the download process.  It is also possible that the file on the server that you downloaded it from is corrupted or damaged.

Try downloading it again.  If it is a file which is on your company server, contact your IT department for assistance in obtaining the program you need.

Steve,

Thank you very much for your prompt response. You made me feel a lot better. I was concerned that my computer might be the problem. But I'm sure you're right because I didn't have any problems download any other programs off of the internet.

Thanks again, Bettye:smileyvery-happy:
