Windows 7 64bit + Crossfire (3870) problems
I upgraded from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit and now Catalyst Control Center shows one of my display adapters as disabled. Windows device manager shows both of them as fully functional though.
I also no longer have a option to enable Crossfire in Catalyst Control Center. I've tried reinstalling drivers, CCC, Crossfire Application profiles etc in various orders, doing clean uninstalls in between but I've had no luck.
Anyone else have this problem and managed to fix it?
Thanks in advance

The solution I finally found was to install Dell's Vista 64bit drivers for the Radeon 3870 card, even though I'm running Windows 7 (I guess it's all Catalyst). Pretty dumb that I can't use the latest drivers from ATI but oh well, at least now it works.

This is a fairly comon problem with the crossfire software. First thing to try is remove all current drivers for the 3870 card through the device manager. Secondly power down and when all power is removed from system remove the second gpu and reboot. When system is detecting new hardware the correct drivers should automatically be re-installed. Check device mangaer for any gpu errors. If all is ok then power down once again and re-install the second gpu and power back up. If the device manager indicates that there are no problems then go into advanced section of CCC and enable crossfire. This usually does the trick. Good Luck.
