Windows 7 - Reboot and Select proper Boot device
I just realized my english isn't very good, sorry about that.
- Since a week ago this message appears when I try to turn on my computer: Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device
It appears sometimes, sometimes it just starts normally. I've been having a couple of problems that make me turn off my computer directly unplugging it (which may be the cause of the problem):
- Sometimes when the screen turns off to save energy, it doesn't turn on again when I move the mouse or press a key.
- Sometimes when the computer is shutting down, it keeps like that for about 5 minutes, just shutting down, it doesn't say anything about updates.
I already used this option called "Diagnostic", pressing F12 when the computer is starting, but it says that no problems were found. I called to DELL and the person that answered told me that I may have to format my hard drive.
My computer is Dell Inspiron 2305, Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks in advance for any help, information or recomendations.

If you have windows 7, pressing a key or moving the mouse only wakes the screen but it cannot wake the screen or the computer if the computer is in Hibernation or Hybrid Sleep. You must briefly press the hardware power button to wake from Hibernation. You will see the Windows emblem and a message that says "Resuming Windows" when it wakes from Hibernation. You can change the settings in Power Options, Advanced settings. Read the helpful info in Windows Help. Search for Hibernation.
