Windows 98 won't boot to desktop
All of a sudden my computer when I turn it on; starts to boot up but stops at a point and doesn't show the desktop. If I push alt, ctrl, del, then I get the bos and it shows that Mmtask isn't responding. As soon as I click end task, then it goes on to the desktop. What do I do to fix this problem?
I sure hope someone can help.
I have an XPS T500 running win 98.

Try running System File Checker and see if Mmtask is corrupted. If it is corrupted replace the file and make a back up.
