Wireless Keyboard-Weak battery indications.

On my 8400 I had the wireless mouse and keyboard. I replaced the wireless mouse with a wired P/2 Optical mouse but kept the wireless keyboard.

My questions are: About how long do the wireless keyboard batteries usually last?  Is there any prior indications that the batteries in a wireless keyboard are getting low, or does the keyboard just die all of a sudden?

                         Thank you

you should expect a year or more on a set of good alkaline batteries. Check your keyboard configuration program to see if it has a battery level indicator (not that I'd give it a lot of credence)

You'll know the batteries have had it when you just can't type!

Thank you Val for your info. Glad to hear that the batteries last a good while. I was under the impression that they only lasted about a month or two.
