XPS 600 - Upgrading CPU

Question

I've an XPS 600 and was wondering if the motherboard supports Duel Core processors. I'm looking at upgrading to this CPU http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=632056  and was wondering if it would be compatable with my XPS.

Unfortunately its not that simple. See the XPS 600 board is tailored for the XPS 600 case. And the power supply as well. So you wont be able to upgrade unless you get a new case and power supply as well. The fastest CPU that the XPS 600 can get is the Pentium 965 EE. http://www.pricewatch.com/cpu/pentium_d_965_extreme.htm
