XPS-8500 Compatibility w/ GeForce Graphic Card
Does a stock XPS-8500 with 460w and a GeForce GT 640 work with an nVidia GeForce GTX 660 with PCI Express x16 3.0? I really need a new card and this is the thing I'm looking at. Also, what's the best card brand for this kind of PC?

Yes - I have an EVGA GTX 660 Ti in mine and it works great. I installed it in March 2013. With the recent Nvidia updates, you may want to look at GTX 760. Each of the brands have their special tuning and advantages. I went with the EVGA because it had dual fans and is extremely quiet. I installed the GT 640 in my sons PC.
