If you like simple go to Crucial.com,there you will scan your unit and they will tell you what works from your basic to performance memory. I suggest you go to Dell and download the Owners Manual and Specification manuals they will let you see how easy it is to work inside your computer. As far as your graphics card get one that reaches the max Wattage of your PSU

After quite a bit of research I added this RAM.  What I liked about adding two 8gb sticks is that I was able to still utilize the existing 2x4gb sticks bringing my total up to 24gb.  There's nothing that matters about the SSD drive, just make sure that it's SATA and has plenty of good customer reviews.  Most of them tend to be sized for a laptop so you can either get a mounting kit or do as I did and use some adhesive velcro to keep it from moving around.  Also 120gb is a bit on the small side, but you could probably pull it off by using the stock drive as your media/random file storage.  Just install the OS, programs, etc on the solid state to make the most of it.   Good luck on the video card, the 750ti appears to be popular for this system due to it's low power consumption.  But if your looking for something beefier you'll likely need a new power supply.  Ohh for the hard drive swap, if you do Dell tech support chat you can likely get them to send you a free OS system install disc (I was able to).  Swap your hard drive with the SSD, boot to the disc, install OS.  Then re-connect the hard drive that came with it.

If you haven't found what you looking for go to Crucial for the Mem. and SSD if money will alloy get a 480GB SSD these drive come with a mounting pllate, you mount the ssd on it and mount that onto the 3.5" tray no Velcro needed. A 1TB HHD sata has lots of stoage stay with that. Your PSU is 460W. For my 8700 I started with the OEM PSU playing aerial combat and GA simulators using a Nvidia GTX660 and it worked fine but as all of do we want more power, speed and sound. So I upped my unit to 32GB ram 480 Crucial, EVGA GTX760 superclocked and the WD 1TB Hdd sata and the PSU is SeaSonic SS-660XP 80 Platinum and two AV-40 speakers but I use my Logitech G930 gaming headset.

Just be warned that upgrading a Dell graphic card is not as easy as you think. Horror  stories exist. If you have the time, consider reading this thread. You might rethink replacing your video card. Go through the entire thread. It's enough to give you the creep.
