XPS 8700: Which Nvidia driver version to reinstall?

I'm doing a Windows 7 reinstall on my 8700 and have a GT635 graphics card.  The video driver on the Dell website is version 311.47.   But my 8700 came from Dell with an Nvidia driver of 331.82 on it.    Dell put the 331.82 on my system, but does not have it available in the driver download section.  So if I use the Dell website version, it will be lower than what Dell put on my system when I bought it.  Should I go with the 311.47 that Dell offers, or should I download 331.82 from Nvidia to match what Dell had on there originally?

The Nvidia website does not specifically say the 331.82 is for GT635, since the GT635 is OEM.  Nvidia says the driver is for GT630, GT640, and other 600 series. But Dell did install 331.82 on my machine originally.

Thanks.

If you know for sure that Dell had driver 331.82 installed, then I would give that a try since it's a newer driver version.

The v. 331.82 is what is showing in Device Manager and also it shows for  the installed Nvidia components in "Programs and Features".   This computer is only a month old.  I haven't updated the driver.   The latest update at Nvidia is actually 337.xx.  So it must have come with version 331.82 installed.

I have 337.88 installed, but I do not have an OEM card.  331.82 is an older driver from a year ago.  You can try any driver you wish.  Sometimes they will install and sometimes they will not on the Dell OEM cards.  331.82 is still available on Nvidia's website under their previous drivers.  You mostly need the newer drivers for gaming improvements.
