XPS 9100 boot from USB

I can't boot my XPS 9100 from the USB port. I believe I have the latest BIOS version, but when I go into boot sequence at startup there is no option to boot from USB. Is there a solution for this?

Did you change your user name to protect the guilty?  :emotion-4:

Is the bootable USB device connected before you power on? Have you tried a different USB port?

Reboot and press F2 to open BIOS setup. Change 1st Boot Device to Removable. Save the change and exit setup with the USB drive already connected.

Note: You'll have to change 1st Boot Device setting again if you eventually want to boot from the internal HDD.

BTW: Are you sure your USB drive is bootable?

Thanks for the heads up on putting the drive in the port before rebooting. DUH on me. I had tried to set the BIOS to boot from the USB and the option is just not there unless there is a stick in the USB port.
